Feeding:
Feed two (2) or four (4) times daily, but do not exceed the amount your fish will consume within about a minute (smaller more frequent feedings are better for most goldfish). Always remove any uneaten food after the feeding period to avoid over-feeding and the water quality issues that can result. When the water temperature is consistently below 10ºC (50ºF) or above 30ºC (86ºF), reduce the amount fed based on the activity level of your fish and condition of your aquarium.

Feeding:
Perfectly Sized Pellet: For smaller bettas (under 1.5³ in length from the tip of their nose to the base of their tail, before the fins) we suggest using Micro Pellets® and feeding 6 pellets twice a day. For bettas 1.5 to 1.75 betta, feed three pellets of Betta Bio-Gold® up to three times daily. Add 1 pellet per 1/4 inch of growth, never feeding more than 5 pellets at one feeding. Additional feedings can be made if they are at least three hours apart and at least that amount of time before all lights are out in the room. During feedings, feed one pellet at a time and make sure the betta completely consumes each pellet. Do not overfeed. Overfeeding can be detrimental to the betta and the water quality. Remove any uneaten food after the feeding period.
Maintenance: Bettas are called "fighting fish" because the males fight with one another. You should never keep males together for this reason, but can keep a single betta with other non-aggressive fish in a larger aquarium. Keep your water at a low to moderate acidity and maintain a temperature between 73°F (23°C) and 81°F (27°C) free of drafts or rapid temperature changes. Change some water weekly with a water conditioner to remove chloramines, chlorine and ammonia that is the same temperature as the water you are replacing. We suggest a bowl size no smaller than 30 ounces but prefer something larger.

It is intended for occasional correction when magnesium levels fall below the natural seawater range (1,280–1,350 ppm). Unlike daily maintenance formulas, Magnesium 12+ delivers magnesium alone, without additional trace ions, making it ideal for safely raising levels without disturbing balance. Each mL increases magnesium by 10 ppm per 1 US gallon (3.8 L).

Test magnesium with a reliable kit before dosing.
Calculate dose: 1 mL per 1 US gallon = +10 ppm magnesium 1 mL per 10 US gallons = +1 ppm magnesium
Dose safely: Do not increase magnesium by more than 50–100 ppm per day. Add dose gradually into a high-flow sump or display area. Re-test magnesium after 12–24 hours before repeating.
