At CanadaPets.ca we want you and your pets to be happy with your purchase. If you are not fully satisfied with an item, we are here to help.

Because we partner with Canadian pet suppliers across the country, return procedures may vary depending on the product and supplier.

Return Eligibility

Most items may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • The item is unused and in its original condition

  • The item is in its original packaging

  • Proof of purchase is provided (order confirmation or receipt)

For health and safety reasons, certain products may not be eligible for return once opened.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items may not be eligible for return:

  • Opened pet food or treats

  • Opened health or grooming products

  • Perishable products

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Personalized or custom products

If you are unsure whether an item qualifies for return, please contact us before sending it back.


Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos of the damaged or incorrect item (if applicable)

We will work with the supplier to arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.


Return Process

To request a return, please contact our customer support team before sending any items back.

Once your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send the product. Because we work with multiple Canadian suppliers, return addresses may vary depending on the supplier.

Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.


Return Shipping

Return shipping costs may vary depending on the reason for the return:

  • If the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect: return shipping will be covered.

  • If the return is for other reasons (such as change of mind): the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.

Shipping charges from the original order are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to an error or defect.


Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement depending on your payment provider.


Exchanges

If you need to exchange an item for a different size or variation, please contact us and we will assist you with the process based on supplier availability.
